VikingGenetics produces high quality genetics, with a balance between milk production and health traits, to make life easier for dairy farmers around the world. They use the newest techniques in their effective breeding program and genomically test over 6,000 VikingHolstein, VikingRed, and VikingJersey bulls each year to select around 290 of them for the breeding programme.

The Nordic Total Merit Index is a complete breeding goal including both production and functional traits, and a big focus on health traits. 60 different sub-indices are combined into 14 main traits, making NTM the most complete total merit index in the world.
